Great Central Race Engineering's first completely home-grown car, Apollo.

This car was built for the Rugby District Venture Scouts by the GCRE team, lead by Jeremy who is also the venture unit leader. As well as serving as a successful race car within its first season of competition, the vehicle was used as a test-bed for future developments for both the Rugby scouts and Great Central.

Following construction of the Apollo type-B cars, this car was sold on to Swansea Ventures who used it to good effect throughout the 2000 season
