July 1994: Following a Cycling Weekly article about Herne Hill Velodrome, the team contacted the track management and were invited to the South London track for a test session.
The summer of 1994 was a warm one, the temperature on the day of the visit being around 30 degrees in the shade. Combined with the reflective white concrete bowl of the track, these conditions were likened to racing around the inside of an oven!
However, the day was still an enjoyable one, with the team getting the chance to try track cycling and recumbents at the same time
