A new event for 2001, the SpokesFest Super Sprints consisted of four 45-minute races then a two-hour finale, all run on Humberstone Gate, a pedestrianised area in the centre of Leicester.
Leading both Killay cars, Chris Featherstone passes the pits again on the short, tight circuit.
